You may want to try to stop eating sugar for 14 days and just see what happens. The first few days will be challenging (this video contains some tips specifically for that). I recently quit drinking sweet soda (Dr. Berg refers to it as “liquid candy” and he’s not wrong!) after drinking it regularly for years. It was a tough adjustment, but after those first few days, something really amazing starts to happen inside your body.

What will happen if you stop eating sugar:

  1. Your appetite for sugar will decrease!
Every time you eat sugar, a hormone actually creates a low blood sugar situation that causes you to crave sugar.
  2. You’ll feel less hungry.
Giving up sugar can help stabilize the blood sugar levels which contribute to hunger.
  3. You’ll be less fatigued.
Especially after eating a meal. Struggling with chronic fatigue syndrome? This will help.
  4. Your body will lose excess water and fat.
In the first week especially, you’re going to dump a lot of excess water, and more fat.
  5. You’ll experience improved mood and better cognitive function.
That means more focus and concentration.
  6. Your skin will look better.
Low sugar leads to glowing skin with less acne.
  7. You’ll have less stiffness –
Low sugar leads to reduced inflammation and less pain.
